regularly.

scheduled every other week is that scheduling errors occur. When this happens, nobody is happy.

This varies from
student to student and really depends on the individual and how much practicing
is being done. Playing is a skill and it does take practice to improve. Some
student will be playing after the first month, whereas some will require a
little longer. Most students take lessons for at least one year, while many
choose to study their instrument for many years, and some never stop.

hour they will get enough material to practice at home.
Lesson times are used for review and learning new material.
To master the skills
necessary to play an instrument takes takes regular practice at home.
How much should I practice?
For best results
play frequently and regularly for brief amounts of time, regular daily practice
is most effective. It is best to schedule 15 minutes of practice time twice each
day for young students and beginners. More experienced students may need more
like 20 to 30 minuets twice each day.
